Forge API 1
Helpers over arrays that only look backward.
Each function here gives the value at bar ``i`` from bars ``i`` and before. There is no way to pull a later value onto an earlier bar: ``shift`` takes a number of bars back, and ``rolling`` has trailing windows only, with no ``center`` argument. Every result is a new, read-only array of the same length.
Import it with ``from forge import series``.
| Name | Kind | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| highest | function | The highest of the last ``window`` values ending at each bar. |
| lowest | function | The lowest of the last ``window`` values ending at each bar. |
| rolling | function | The ``how`` of the last ``window`` values ending at each bar, NaN until ``window`` values exist. |
| shift | function | ``x`` moved ``n`` bars later, so the value at bar ``i`` is ``x[i - n]``. |
