Code of conduct
In short
- Be useful and kind.
- Post code and results, not claims.
- Report a broken rule with the Report button, never in the thread.
- No selling and no recruiting.
1. Be useful and kind
Answer the question that was asked. Disagree with the idea, not the person. Say what you tried, what you expected and what happened, so someone can help.
2. Post code and results, not claims
Show the code and the result it gave. Do not promise profit, and do not call a result safe or guaranteed. A result from a past period is a result from a past period, and a post that implies otherwise can be removed. The list of banned words is on the publishing rules.
3. Report, do not call out
If a post breaks a rule, use its Report button. Do not name it in the thread or ask others to pile on. A report is read by a person at Oathra.
4. No selling and no recruiting
Do not advertise a paid service, a signal group or a course, and do not recruit people to another platform. Linking your own free work in answer to a question is fine.
5. What happens when a rule is broken
A report is read and a decision is made. The author of the post is told which rule it broke and why, and can appeal. A removed post stays visible as a removed post, with the rule that applied.
