Run a sweep
A sweep runs the same strategy with many combinations of its settings. You decide, for each setting, whether it is one value or a range.
Turn a setting into a range
In the Tester, open Parameters. Each setting can stay at one value or become a range with a minimum, a maximum and a step. The range a strategy declares in its file is where the Tester starts.
A setting that a strategy marks as not to be optimised stays at one value. Settings can also depend on each other: a strategy can refuse combinations such as a fast average that is slower than the slow one.
Count what you try
The number of combinations is the product of the ranges. The panel on the right shows it, with the time and cost it implies, before the run starts. There is a cap on how many values one setting can take in a sweep. See the limits for it and for the other caps a run applies.
Read the result
A sweep's run page lists the combinations that survived, ranked. Its verdict is about the search as a whole: whether the best of them is likely to be an accident.
