insufficient_credits

What happened#

A hosted run or an upload holds credits before it starts. When your balance cannot cover even the first hold, the request is refused with 402 and nothing is queued. The reply carries available and required.

What to do#

Add credits or wait for your monthly credits, or make the work smaller. A run that does not fit under your monthly spending cap is a different code, spend_cap_reached.
