# forge.ta.volumes

forge.ta.volumes(volume: ArrayLike) -> dict[str, np.ndarray]
```

The volume of each bar, and whether it is above the previous bar's.

``direction`` is +1 where the volume is above the previous bar's and -1 where it is equal or
lower (MetaTrader 5's two column colours). The first bar has a volume and no direction, and a
bar next to a missing one has none either.

Volume per bar, tick or real as the feed carries it.

The volume of the bar

direction = 1 when the volume is above the previous bar's, else -1
