# forge.ta.hammer

```python
forge.ta.hammer(open: ArrayLike, high: ArrayLike, low: ArrayLike, close: ArrayLike, wick_mult: float = 2.0, opposite_pct: float = 25.0, body_zone_pct: float = 33.3, trend_bars: int = 3) -> np.ndarray
```

Hammer: a long lower wick after a fall. Found: 1.

The lower wick is at least ``wick_mult`` times the body, the upper wick at most ``opposite_pct``
percent of the range, the body sits in the top ``body_zone_pct`` percent of the range, and the
close before the bar is below the close ``trend_bars`` bars earlier.

## Class forge.ta.Hammer

```python
forge.ta.Hammer(**inputs: Any) -> None
```

A long lower wick after a fall.

body = |close - open|, range = high - low, upper wick = high - max(open, close), lower wick = min(open, close) - low

lower wick >= wick_mult * body, upper wick <= opposite_pct / 100 * range, the body inside the top body_zone_pct of the range, and after a fall: close[i-1] < close[i-1-trend_bars]

Found: 1

A bar whose high equals its low, or that has a missing price, is never part of a pattern. Computed on the prices the bars are drawn with: on Heikin-Ashi or Renko bars those are the built candles.
