# max_agents

Your account already has the most paired machines it may.

## What happened

Asking for a new pairing code while you are at the limit is refused with 409 and this code. Revoked machines do not count.

## What to do

Revoke a machine you no longer use from the Engine page in the web app, then pair again. The limit is the Local agents per account row on the [Limits](https://oathra.dev//docs/limits) page.
