# dataset_exists

You already have data for this symbol.

## What happened

An account holds one live dataset per symbol. A second upload for a symbol that already has one, ingesting or ready, is refused with 409. A dataset that failed or was deleted does not count. The reply carries the symbol in `detail`.

## What to do

Use the data you have. To replace it, delete it first; a dataset that a queued or running run uses cannot be deleted (see `dataset_in_use`).
