# HOOK_RETURN

A hook's return annotation does not match what Forge expects.

## What happened

A hook's return annotation says it returns something other than what Forge reads from it: a number for `size`, a true or false for a check, a dictionary for a hook that returns one.

## What to do

Change the annotation, or remove it, so that it matches what the hook returns.

## Example

The wording of the message depends on your file, and the code does not. An error stops the file from loading.
