# HOOK_NAME_CLOSE

A method name is close to a hook name, so Forge never calls it.

## What happened

This is a warning, and the file still loads. A method whose name is close to a hook's name, but is not it, is never called by Forge, which is usually a typing mistake.

## What to do

Rename the method to the hook's name, or give it a name that is not close to one if it is meant to be your own.

## Example

```text
strategy.py, line 22: `sizee` is not a hook, so Forge never calls it. Did you mean `size`? [HOOK_NAME_CLOSE]
```

The wording of the message depends on your file, and the code does not. A warning does not stop the file from loading.
