# COMPUTE_FAILED

compute() raised an error.

## What happened

`compute()` raised an error. The message names the file, the line and the function where it was raised, then the error's own type and text, and ends with this code.

### Common causes

- An exception inside `compute()`, or inside a function of your file that it calls.
- An `assert` that failed. The message then reads `A requirement failed:` and the assert's own text, or `An assert failed.` when it has none.

## What to do

Open your file at the line the message names and fix the error there.

## Example

```text
strategy.py, line 12, in compute: compute() raised ZeroDivisionError: division by zero [COMPUTE_FAILED]
```

The wording of the message depends on your file, and the code does not.
